Processes are at the heart of the company. Most create products and services. They create the value.
TEE focusses on information processes. We identify:

Processes use resources. They are complex. Processes are oftne dependent of each other.
As they run across the company. They may deal with different business domains. They may trigger processes in other business domains. Or, they may exchange or share information with other business domains. They don't stop at a border defined by the functional organisation of the company. They go well beyond the defined units of responsibilities. Processes are also likely to change over time.
The characteristics of the processes must comply to some norms.
